OZone on Top at Provincial Festival
Posted on July 14, 2019 in General News
The “Best Production” at the OZone Festival in Salmon Arm was Theatre Kelowna’s excellent Late Company, a powerful drama about two parents who invite their deceased son’s bully and his parents to dinner, ostensibly for reconciliation. Late Company has won Best Production at the Mainstage Festival in Port Alberni this week, along with Best Director (Brian Haigh), Best Actor (Chris Froese) and Best Performance by a Youth or Novice (Aiden Oorebeek). It’s especially impressive that both of these actors were late replacements for actors unable to travel to Port Alberni.
