Auditions for “The Coyotes’ Christmas”
Posted on October 14, 2021 in General News, Member News
October 23 and 24
When three hungry coyotes disguised as shepherds (in a futile effort to catch sheep) are told by an angel that “unto you is born this day the lamb of god”, they set out to steal the lamb, not realizing it is baby Jesus. This one-act Christmas play will delight the whole family.
Director, Howard DeLong, will be holding auditions on Saturday October 23rd and Sunday October 24th at 7:00 pm at Shuswap Theatre. This production requires a total of eight cast members ranging in age from late teens to adult. Two of the roles will require male cast members, one will require a female cast member, the remaining five roles can be performed by any gender.
The performances will run from December 10th through 12th and December 17th through 19th (Friday, Saturday and Sunday Matinee). Rehearsals will begin at the end of October and will require a considerable time commitment in the work up to the show’s opening.
Those auditioning or working on crew will need to show official proof of double vaccination.
The auditions will be held in the Board Room of the Salmar Theatre (across the street from our theatre). Please use the smaller, metal door east of the main entrance.
The production team looks forward to hearing from any and all interested persons, regardless of acting experience. Cast members of previous Shuswap Theatre productions have often said that joining a theatre production has been one of the best experiences of their lives.
Anyone interested in auditioning is encouraged to contact Producer, Craig Massey, by email. We look forward to meeting with you and answering any of your questions. Please download and complete the Audition Sheet before you come.
