What’s a Virtual Theatre Trivia Night?

It’s just like an in-person Trivia Night, but we play over Zoom (a video conference system). This Virtual Trivia Night is on Saturday, March 13 at 7:30pm. You can use the form below (scroll down). For this event you will detect a distinct Irish flavour.

Cost

This is a fun and affordable evening. Cost for Shuswap Theatre Members is $5.00. Non-members are $10 but if you’d like to use your fee to purchase a membership you can do that. 

How to Join the Event

Make sure that you download and install Zoom [download here] on your computer, phone, or tablet before Thursday, March 11. Then, the evening before the event, you will receive an email with a link to Trivia Night. When it’s time for the event, open the email and click the link to the live video stream. 

Everyone is a Free Agent

When the event starts, we will randomly assign everyone to teams of four, but you may request certain teammates when you register. No guarantees. You can share your computer/video with up to one [one] isolation buddy (i.e. two people can play together using one account but will count as two players). But for households with more than two people, please divvy up the rooms and devices, and prepare to take your housemates down in a true trivia battle.

Timeline

We’ll open the video conference line at 7:00 pm on March 13th so that folks can say hello and iron out any technical issues. Trivia will start at 7:35 pm. There will be one 5 minute intermission in the middle, and we should be done by 9:00pm.
