Auditions for “The Book of Will”

Actors are needed for our spring production, The Book of Will. There are parts for male and female actors from their 20s to their 60s. The script is in modern English with frequent quotes from Shakespeare’s plays.

• Actors will only need to attend one audition unless requested to return, though you may attend as many as you like.
• Complete this audition form and bring it with you to your audition.
• Auditions will consist primarily of “cold readings” (i.e. unrehearsed) in combinations with other actors. You may be asked to read the same scene with different scene partners.
• It is not necessary to otherwise prep for your audition, but if you would like to read the script ahead of time, you can request a copy from Julia.
• Julia will give a brief synopsis of the play and describe the characters at the beginning of each audition session.
• Generally, the audition will last 1 – 2 hours. 
• The Book of Will is also our entry into the Okanagan Zone Drama Festival which takes place in Oliver shortly after our run ends (exact date uncertain). You will need to be able to attend our production if not the entire festival.
