Notice of AGM & Special Motion – Sept 24/13

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7pm
Everyone welcome. To vote, you must be a member in good standing and have a current membership for 2013/14. Click here if you’d like to renew online. If not, memberships will be taken prior to the meeting from 6:30 – 7pm
The Shuswap Theatre Board is proposing a change in the number of directors on the Board. Because this is a decision that affects our bylaws, a notice of motion is needed one week ahead of the meeting. Here is the resolution that will be proposed to the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, September 24th:
WHEREAS the ongoing life of theatre and arts groups is growing more complex, andWHEREAS the complexity of Board work is increasing, andWHEREAS our Board members (directors) are expected to take on additional responsibilities apart from simply attending meetings,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Shuswap Theatre Society increase the maximum number of director positions (i.e. board members) from nine to ten, effective at the 2013 Annual General Meeting.
