The Comfy Bottoms Project
Posted on October 2, 2017 in General News
We believe that our valued patrons should be able to sit in comfort while watching excellent, live theatre. The existing, hand-me-down seats from the Salmar Classic are all at least 40 years old, some even older. Apart from requiring constant maintenance they are less comfortable than we wish they were and some are too narrow for some of us to fit in. A five thousand dollar grant from the Shuswap Community Foundation (thank you) has kickstarted the process of replacing all our seats with new ones. We will need another $30,000 to replace all the seats at a price of $250 each.
You are invited to support this project and the bottoms of your fellow citizens, by purchasing one or more seats. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll always be able to sit in the one (or ones) you purchased, your gift will be acknowledged by name on a plaque in the lobby. You will also instantly receive a tax deductible receipt for the full amount of your gift.
