Auditions for “The Herbal Bed”

Mark your calendars all aspiring actors. Auditions for The Herbal Bed will be held at the theatre:
Sunday, March 3rd at 7:00 pm
Monday, March 4th at 7:00 pm

The Herbal Bed is an emotional thriller set in the summer of 1613. Susanna Hall, daughter of William Shakespeare, has been accused of immoral behavior by a drunken young gentleman and responds by charging him with slander. In those days such a charge was heard in the church court in Worcester Cathedral and so Susanna and all those involved must face an inquisition-like trial. The outcome is in doubt until the last. The play runs April 26th to May 4th. Actors must be prepared to perform at the O-Zone Festival in Vernon on May 16th. If we are fortunate enough to be chosen as Best Production, we will perform again at the provincial Mainstage Festival in early July.
There are eight actors needed:
- two women in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties (or able to play women that age)
- one young man in his early to mid-twenties
- a man in his thirties
- two men in their 40’s to early 50’s
- a man aged 55 to 75
- a small girl able to play a five year old girl (small part)
