Liz Hobbs

Liz Hobbs is a director, actor and circus performer based in Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a double major in drama and psychology. Favourite directing credits include Encounters for the Citadel Theatre, Featuring Loretta, Criminal Genius and Judith for Punctuate! Theatre, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Theatre Prospero, and Tristan and Isolde and The Secrets of Immortality for the Serca Festival. She is the Artistic Director for the Serca Festival of Irish Theatre, the Outdoor Festival Coordinator for the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, the Folk Trail coordinator for the Silver Skate Festival, as well as the Associate Artistic Director of Theatre Prospero where she directs residencies in schools. She is thrilled to be directing with Shuswap Theatre on our upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.
